Hello, sorry for not writing "auf Deutsch" but my German is very bad! I read the forum and was really impressed that in a German bg forum you discuss about plakoto and fevga. I'm Greek and of course apart from bg fan I am tavli fan. I have an excellent Tavli (backgammon-portes-plakoto-fevga) site to recommend you :
www.tavli-network.grI was playing for years there (one of my nicks "poseidon", has now expired) and can assure you that has some excellent players.
By the way is there any plakoto or fevga bot out there?
Hi Poseidon,
welcome
www.tavli-network.gris well known here.
We have discussed Plakoto and Fevga/Moultezim positions in this forum, which from my side were found to some part on lifegames on
www.tavli-network.gr or
http://www.gamerz.net/You are a top ranked player from tavli-network and I followed a number of your games trying to find out your thoughts while playing!
There are no relevant bots for Plakoto/Fevga so far acc. my knowledge, i.e. the existing programs are poor and a beginner beats them after short training.
So we have some opportunity for discussions like in the old times of BG were no bots existed!
I see that the position pics of the discussed problems are no longer visible and will ask Hardy to find a way to fix this.
In the case of Moultezim positions it is possible to visualize the positions here via GNUBG/copy html.
But in the case of Plakoto this is not possible, because you can not put a black and white checker together on one triangle of the GNUBG BG board.
We used in both cases mostly an external picture server...but the pics seem to be deleted there.
I you have a interesting Plakoto-or Moultezim-problem you may post it here for discussion.
After fixing the pic problem hopefully in the next days some here would for sure appreciate your comments on the positions!
Andreas
